Mayflower footprint poems

My tummy has butterflies inside
My fans are saying you are going to win this
Now I am gonna start the race
I feel like giving up.

I’m sprinting
It’s like a tiger chasing its prey.
The fans are saying
“You can do this”
Hooray, I won
I am so happy
Yesss!

Runners worried, nervous, excited.
Butterflies in my stomach.
Bang and we’ve off.
People behind breathing and stamping like a herd of elephants chasing me.

I’m tired but I’m not giving up
My legs are wobberly
I might fall.
The finish line is right in front of me.
I take a run for it.
I’m the champion.
I won!

The tension is rising
I’m head to head verses Baden Prince
He slips
I can see
I can see heaven with a gold glimmering trophy

My mouth is dry
I think I swallowed something revolting

I am worried a lot that I might lose.
I’ve got a headache.
I felt like I had electricity in my body.

There was so much spotlights.
Other people were running like sports cars.
